Questions answered — plainly.
Everything a candidate or a dealership manager needs to understand about what MzansiReady is, how it works, and what it does not do.
What MzansiReady is
What is MzansiReady?▾
MzansiReady is a practical motor retail readiness pathway for candidates who want to enter the South African motor retail industry. It is a set of 10 structured modules covering workplace conduct, dealership culture, customer communication, basic sales process awareness, finance basics, POPIA awareness, and interview readiness. It is not a formal qualification, not a learnership, and not a recruitment agency.
Is MzansiReady a formal qualification or NQF certificate?▾
No. MzansiReady does not issue NQF qualifications, SETA certificates, or any form of accredited educational credential. It is a practical readiness pathway — a structured way for a candidate to demonstrate preparation, discipline, and dealership awareness before asking a manager for a chance.
Who built MzansiReady?▾
MzansiReady was built by Shannon Loder — a motor retail professional with decades of experience in South African and UK dealerships. It is not a product of a training company, a government programme, or an academic institution. It comes directly from real dealership experience.
Is MzansiReady a government programme or affiliated with MERSETA?▾
No. MzansiReady is not a government programme, not MERSETA-affiliated, and not funded by any public body. It is a privately built, independently operated readiness pathway.
For candidates
CandidatesWho is MzansiReady for?▾
MzansiReady is for candidates who want to enter motor retail but have no dealership experience — or who have been turned away from a dealership and told to come back when they are more prepared. It is for people who are motivated but have not had the preparation that dealerships expect.
Will completing MzansiReady guarantee me a job?▾
No. MzansiReady does not guarantee employment, interviews, dealership placement, or any form of job offer. What it gives you is preparation and a readiness signal — a clear demonstration that you are serious and have invested in understanding the industry. What a dealership does with that is their decision.
How long does it take to complete?▾
There is no time limit or deadline. Modules are designed to be completed at your own pace — on your phone, during a break, at home. Each module takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour including the reading, reflection task, and quiz. The full 10-module pathway can be completed in a few days if you commit, or over several weeks if you prefer.
Do I need a data connection or laptop?▾
You need a smartphone with an internet connection. The platform is designed for mobile — not for a laptop or desktop. Content is kept as data-friendly as possible given the South African mobile data context.
What happens when I finish all 10 modules?▾
When you complete all 10 modules, you can request that Shannon personally interpret your results for a dealership manager. You name the dealership and give written consent. Shannon reads your results, writes a short plain-English note covering what you demonstrated and where gaps remain, and sends it to the manager on your behalf. No note goes anywhere without your explicit written consent.
Can I share my results with more than one dealership?▾
Yes — but each sharing event requires a separate consent. You name the specific dealership each time, give written consent, and Shannon sends the note. Your results are not shared automatically or in bulk.
What data does MzansiReady collect about me?▾
To register, you provide a name and email address. Your module progress and quiz results are stored securely. No financial data is stored — payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Your results are never shared with any dealership or third party without your explicit written consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Paying for modules
CandidatesHow much does it cost?▾
Module 1 is free. Modules 2–10 are R99 each — or unlock the full pathway (all 9 paid modules) for R599, saving R292.
Do I have to pay for all 10 modules upfront?▾
No. You can unlock modules one at a time at R99 each, or pay R599 upfront for the full pathway and save R292.
What payment methods are accepted?▾
MzansiReady uses a South African payment provider. Card payments are supported. Payments are processed securely — MzansiReady does not store your card details.
Can a dealership pay for my modules?▾
The MVP is learner-funded. Any future sponsor, civic or dealer-access arrangement would be separate from the current learner checkout.
For dealership managers
DealershipsHow do I refer a candidate to MzansiReady?▾
Simply tell the candidate to go to mzansiready.co.za and start with Module 1 — which is free. You do not need an account, you do not need to register, and there is nothing to sign. If the candidate completes the modules and wants you to see their results, they initiate the consent process and Shannon sends you a readiness note.
Does my dealership have to pay anything?▾
No. Dealerships spend nothing. There is no account, no subscription, no invoice, and no procurement process. Candidates fund their own preparation.
Am I obliged to hire or interview a candidate who completes MzansiReady?▾
Absolutely not. MzansiReady is a readiness filter — not a recruitment service. A candidate who completes the programme has demonstrated preparation and discipline. Whether that results in an interview or an offer is entirely your decision.
How does Shannon send me the readiness note?▾
When a candidate completes all 10 modules and gives written consent to share their results with you, Shannon contacts you directly by email. The note is plain English — not a formal report. It covers what the candidate demonstrated, where the gaps are, and Shannon's assessment of their seriousness based on the results.
Can I request a readiness note for a candidate who has not completed all 10 modules?▾
The readiness note is only issued for candidates who have completed all 10 modules. Partial completion notes are not provided — partly because the full picture only emerges across the whole pathway, and partly because Shannon's manual interpretation process is calibrated to the complete results.
What if I want multiple candidates to complete MzansiReady?▾
You can refer as many candidates as you like. Each candidate manages their own registration, payment, and consent. There is no limit on the number of candidates you refer, and no cost to you regardless of how many you send.
Privacy and POPIA
How does MzansiReady comply with POPIA?▾
MzansiReady is built with POPIA compliance as a foundation. We collect only the data we need to operate the platform. Candidate results are never shared with third parties without explicit written consent. Candidates can request deletion of their data at any time. We do not use candidate data for marketing or share it with any external parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account and data?▾
Yes. If you want your account and data deleted, email hello@mzansiready.co.za with your registered email address and the request. We will action your deletion request and confirm when it is complete.
Is my payment information stored by MzansiReady?▾
No. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. MzansiReady does not store credit card numbers, bank details, or any financial account information.
